Derek is the founder of Halo Studio. He studied arts and design but found his interest and passion in photography at work and focused in this field since then. He has over 30 years of experience in traditional film and digital photography. He is a commercial photographer specializing in fashion, interiors, celebrities, portraits and lifestyle for ad, corporate, & editorial clients. Derek has worked with a number of 4As advertising agency and local renowned PR agency. His professionalism is highly recognized and is a regular partner with many international brands of photographic products manufacturer and supplier.

Besides commercial works, Derek also shoots weddings, family portraits, and other subjects that stimulate his visual or emotional sensibilities. Derek is passionate about professional training. He is an experienced instructor at Nikon School, and he is often invited by different corporate, organizations and institutions as guest speaker and instructor at workshops and seminars. He is pioneered in promoting the importance of color management on photography in Hong Kong.
